All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.

 

It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any errors or omissions or damage caused by packers and shippers, notwithstanding the fact that the Auctioneer may have recommended such shippers or packers to the purchaser.

A consignor who has been collecting fine wine since 1988, he became interested in it early on working for the LCBO while in university. He enjoys travels and visiting the world’s wine regions and is a founding shareholder of a wine importing company. The wine in this auction was mainly purchased in Saskatchewan and Alberta, and some in Italy. The bottles were stored in a fridge and a temperature-controlled cellar prior to auction.
Producer Notes for 1964 Renzo Seghesio Barolo DOC - The Seghesio family has been dedicating experience, knowledge and craft to producing and refining premium red wines in Monforte d'Alba for more than a century. Renzo Seghesio has worn many shoes, farmer and winemaker, cartographer and former mayor of Monforte d’Alba - upon studying winemaking in Alba, Renzo has received a master degree in biology from the University of Turin and, since returning to Monforte in the 1960s and founding his own Winery, his intent and focus have been dedicated to the single goal of growing and selecting the best possible fruit from the unique terroir of the family parcels. 1964 is a notable vintage for Piedmont.
