The Old Pulteney 1983 - 33 Years Old represents a distinguished example of aged single malt. Distilled in 1983 and bottled in 2017, this whisky showcases the exceptional craftmanship of the Pulteney distillery. Its strength stands at 46% Vol., providing a rich, unfiltered whisky experience. This particular Old Pulteney spent its years maturing in two types of casks - ex-Bourbon and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. The initial maturation took place in American and Spanish oak casks, with a subsequent finish in Spanish oak casks seasoned with Oloroso. This dual maturation process creates a unique depth of character, enriching the whisky's complexity and adding an intriguing layer of flavour. Nose- Stewed fruit and toffee before a building chocolate note, spicy vanilla and oily citrus. Palate- Full-bodied with a sweet and savoury heart, salted caramel and dried fruit atop a vibrant honey and vanilla note. Finish- Creamy, long and elegant.
