A consignor from Alberta whose interest in fine wine piqued in university after tasting a great bottle at an event. Shortly after earning his master’s degree, he began collecting in earnest, fueled by a year in London that allowed for frequent trips to France and a deeper appreciation of its remarkable terroir. Over the years, his collection grew, sourced through the ALB and numerous journeys to the renowned wine regions of France, Italy, Napa, Sonoma, and the Willamette Valley. Each bottle was stored in his climate-controlled cellar prior to auction.
Producer notes - Château Margaux is one of Bordeaux's most famous wine estates, located just east of Margaux itself in the Médoc. It was rated as a first growth in the original 1855 Bordeaux Classification of the Médoc. Generally, Margaux is considered as the most elegant of the first growths, and is consistently one of the most expensive wines in the world. The Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend is complimented with small portions of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
