All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any errors or omissions or damage caused by packers and shippers, notwithstanding the fact that the Auctioneer may have recommended such shippers or packers to the purchaser.
This consignor, located in the GTA, grew up watching his Italian father make wine every year. When he was of age, he started to discover different grapes and regions and began to purchase bottles to lay down. He took some courses and attended tasting events and began to seriously collect. His wine is from the LCBO and a few agents and was stored in a humidity and temperature-controlled wine room before arriving for auction.
The score for 1993 Domaine Georges Roumier Bonnes Mares Grand Cru is 95 from Allen Meadows, The Burghound and the tasting note - This has always been a wine that I have admired with its terrific and now fully mature nose that displays really lovely breadth in the form of leather, earth and full-on secondary aromas though no sous-bois is in evident at present. There is excellent richness to the equally complex big-bodied and velvety flavors that possess a really lovely texture, all wrapped in beautifully long and well-balanced finale. For my taste this has arrived at its peak though it should hold here for many years to come. Multiple and consistent notes..
