An Ontario based consignor who has been collecting wine with her husband for over 30 years. They have an appreciation of the intricacies of the winemaking process and have travelled to many vineyards throughout the USA and Europe. When opening a bottle, they enjoy sharing the story of the wine and took great care to create their custom built wine cellar to house their unique collection. Their hope is to share these bottles with other avid wine collectors.
The tasting note for 1998 Chateau Clos de Sarpe St Emilion is from Robert Parker and the score is 94 - Medium to deep garnet-brick in color, the 1998 Clos de Sarpe gives a beautiful perfume of Chinese five spice, sandalwood and preserved plums with notions of dried mulberries, potpourri, black truffles, cast iron pan and a compelling waft of aniseed. Medium-bodied with wonderful elegance, incredible freshness and a scintillating satiny texture, the perfumed layers just go on and on. Wow—fantastic surprise!
