This consignor has maintained his entire collection in strictly temperature-controlled conditions, utilizing his personal wine cellar since 2020 and, prior to that, two specialized units acquired twenty years ago. As the original owner, he personally sourced every bottle directly from the LCBO or, in the case of certain Napa selections, directly from Vice Versa—a small, cultish operation renowned for its outstanding Cabernets. This diligent preservation ensures that each bottle remains in optimal condition, characterized by pristine labels and high fill levels.

This is the tasting note for 1999 Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac from Robert Parker - The 1999 Lafite Rothschild is entering adolescence and beginning to show very well after an hour in the decanter. Offering up aromas of rich dark fruit mingled with cigar box, loamy soil, spices and subtle animal top notes. Medium to full-bodied, muscular and concentrated for the vintage, with lively acids and still rather youthfully assertive tannins, it's a fine effort that would rate higher if it displayed greater aromatic purity.
