This collection from Quebec is full of Burgundian Grand Cru and Tuscan classics. The consignor stored his wine in a temperature- controlled professional home cellar. The wines were purchased on release.
The score for 2000 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru is 93 from Allen Meadows, The Burghound and the tasting note - A ripe, spicy and still wonderfully fresh nose features almost fully mature aromas that are nuanced by hints of earth and underbrush that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is outstanding richness to the pliant and lush medium-bodied flavors that deliver a beautifully long and mouth coating finish. While the supporting tannins are almost fully resolved and thus this could easily be enjoyed now, I would hold my remaining bottles for another 3 to 5 years first. But the good news is that this is sufficiently close to peaking that it would not be a vinous crime to enjoy the '00 Bèze now.
