Based in Montreal, this consignor has always had a passion for farming and was once a part-owner of a winery in Oregon. His journey into wine collecting began in 2005 when he acquired a collection from a SAQ cellar owner, soon after which he started investing in Bordeaux futures. Except for the Vice Versa, which was purchased directly from the winery, his entire collection was sourced through the SAQ. Every bottle has been carefully stored in his custom-built, climate-controlled underground cellar by Mr. St-Laurent.
The rating for 2000 Domaine Jacques Prieur Le Musigny Grand Cru is 92 points from Robert Parker and the tasting note - Loads of wild raspberries, strawberries, and cherries can be discerned in the aromatics of the medium-bodied 2000 Musigny. This elegant, delicately-styled wine is complex, concentrated, and pure. Its flavorful, silky-textured character offers flavors reminiscent of cherry-scented pipe tobacco, spices, and plums. A soft, supple effort, it is a candidate for drinking over the next 7 years.
