An Ontario based consignor who has been collecting wine with her husband for over 30 years. They have an appreciation of the intricacies of the winemaking process and have travelled to many vineyards throughout the USA and Europe. When opening a bottle, they enjoy sharing the story of the wine and took great care to create their custom built wine cellar to house their unique collection. Their hope is to share these bottles with other avid wine collectors.
Producer Notes for 2000 Domaine Marc Sorrel Hermitage - A rare and prestigious wine, Hermitage, which was served at the court of the Tsar, was once sold at the same price as Lafite and Romanée. Marc Sorrel, a winemaker since 1984, wisely cultivates his old vines in the noblest farmhouses on the hillside. Le Méal is the heart of the cru and produces, on a soil of large pebbles, the most velvety and fragrant wine of the appellation. A stone's throw from Le Méal, Les Rocoules produces a confidential, powerful and distinguished white, with an undeniable finesse. The estate has existed since 1928, when the Domaine was created by Marc's grandfather, Félix, a notary in Tain-l'Hermitage.
