The score for 2011 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue Chambolle Musigny Premier Cru is 94 points from Allen Meadows, The Burghound and the tasting note - A remarkably attractively cool and restrained nose of various red berries, spice and a beautiful array of floral elements complements well the rich and equally cool mineral-tinged big-bodied and overtly muscular flavors. There is a really lovely sense of underlying tension on the clean and pure finish that delivers strikingly good length. This intensely mineral-driven effort is also clean and firm but with slightly better phenolic maturity to the supporting structural elements which should allow this beauty to age successfully for many years to come. The score for 2001 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue Chambolle Musigny Premier Cru is 91 points from Allen Meadows, The Burghound and the tasting note - This is slowing transforming itself into a really lovely wine of weight, depth and intensity with a richly detailed, expressive nose and impressively pure and harmonious flavors that offer superb clarity of expression. This is a classical Burgundy lover's dream with linearity, purity, harmony and simply knock out delineation plus a subtle complexity that is finesse personified. Consistent notes and this is one of those wine that has such balance that it can easily be enjoyed now or held for further development. Personally, I would advise holding it for a few more years but as I note, it can certainly be drunk now with pleasure.
