An Alberta-based consignor who has been collecting wine for a little over five years, ensuring that all bottles are properly stored in several wine fridges at a consistent 13 degrees Celsius. His primary focus is on wines from Tuscany and Burgundy, with occasional selections from other regions. While he enjoys collecting, he drinks most of what he buys. His wine comes from a variety of sources, including auctions such as L'Épicurien and Waddington’s. He frequently purchases from local stores like Willow Park, Vine Arts, and Costco, primarily in Alberta, with Zyn.ca being a particular favorite. Additionally, he buys a significant amount of wine while traveling, often picking up bottles from duty-free shops, wine stores, and other retailers in different countries.
2003 Chateau Mouton Rothschild Pauillac has following scores - Jeff Leve The Wine Cellar Insider 96, Vinous 95 , The Wine Advocate 95, Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy 95. 2003 Chateau Mouton Rothschild Pauillac has the score of 91 from Robert Parker and the tasting note -The 2003 harvest began on September 15 and finished ten days later. The result is an outstanding 2003 Mouton-Rothschild, but it is not one of the superstars of Pauillac or the Northern Médoc. Its nearby neighbors, Lafite-Rothschild, Cos d’Estournel and Montrose, all produced wines that qualitatively dominate this effort from Mouton-Rothschild. Nevertheless, there is a lot to like. The tannins, which were so tough initially, have softened somewhat, and the nose offers up notes of cedarwood, roasted coffee, tobacco leaf and red and blackcurrants. This spicy, earthy, fleshy, medium to full-bodied 2003 is not one of the stars of the vintage. It is close to full maturity, where it should remain for another 10-15 years.
