The wine in this lot has a score of 92 from Robert Parker and the following tasting note -Continuum's 2006 Proprietary Red should continue to drink well for several more years, but it is fully mature at this point, boasting cigar box and tobacco accents to the cherry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, rich and velvety in feel, then seems more open-knit and even woolly on the finish. Only the second vintage, it was sourced from selected blocks of Mondavi's To Kalon Vineyard, so it's very different from the later Pritchard Hill-grown wines. Since I reviewed Continuum's 2019 Proprietary Red relatively recently, I've not bothered to include my notes on that wine from this visit, instead concentrating on the back vintages Tim Mondavi so graciously opened, and the current releases of Novicium—a second red wine—and Sentium—a new white wine project being spearheaded by Tim's daughter, Chiara Mondavi.
