A Toronto based consignor and member of the wine community whose collection is largely focused on Burgundy. He has been collecting wine for a long time and is starting to pare down his cellars in hopes that others will enjoy and learn about wine. Wine was procured through various outlets, LCBO, agents, auction, and direct from the producers and stored professionally and in a temperature and humidity-controlled cellar in his home.
The tasting note for 2009 Bouchard Pere Fils Le Montrachet Grand Cru is from Robert Parker and the score is 93-95 - Tasted at John Armit, the Montrachet has a very subtle nose that initially displays less mineralite than the Chevalier Cabotte. Touches of crushed stone, lime flower and a hint of fresh apricot. The palate is very well balanced and very complex with subtle notes of apricot, candied orange peel and white peach, although at the finish I feel that at this early juncture, the La Cabotte displays more essence of the terroir and more mineralite. Still, this is a very fine Montrachet.
