An Ontario-based consignor, who credits his passion for wine back to a 1982 Chateau Margaux, started his collection two decades ago. His bottles were acquired through the LCBO and SAQ. A long-time client of Iron Gate, he stores his bottles in a custom-designed home cellar that is both temperature and humidity-controlled.
The rating for 2009 Lail Vineyards J Daniel Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is 97 points from Robert Parker and the tasting note - The 2009 J. Daniel Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet colored and not shy on the nose with bold, bombastic crème de cassis, baked blueberries and boysenberries scents followed by nuances of chocolate box, cast iron pan, sandalwood, cloves and unsmoked cigars plus a touch of menthol. Full-bodied, big, concentrated and hedonic, the palate is bursting with black fruit and spicy flavors, with a rock-solid foundation of firm, grainy tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing long and layered. A totally decadent experience!
