The score for2014 Latour Giraud Meursault Les Charmes Premier Cru is 94 from Allen Meadows and this is the tasting note -There is just enough post-bottling reduction present to warrant decanting this if you're tempted to try a bottle of this beauty young. Otherwise there is almost painful intensity to the succulent and dense medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle minerality onto the sappy, chiseled and hugely long finale. This impeccably balanced effort is also clearly built-to-age and like the Poruzots is going to need it. In short, this is a great Charmes and worthy of your interest. The score for2010 Latour Giraud Meursault Les Charmes Premier Cru is 93 from Allen Meadows and this is the tasting note -An expressive and beautifully layered nose exhibits yellow orchard fruit, floral and spice aromas that are typical for a fine Genevrières. There is superb complexity to the beautifully intense, suave and seductively textured flavors that possess very good power on the driving mineral-inflected finish that has become notably more linear that it was when I first reviewed this wine. This is a strikingly good Genevrières that has at present shut down somewhat and while it is still a pleasure to drink, it seems relatively clear that there is plenty of unrealized upside development potential remaining
