Acting on behalf of his late brother’s estate, this consignor is offering a collection for auction. The collector was a dedicated wine enthusiast who sourced his bottles from LCBO special programs to start, then direct from agents and finally directly from producers (Piedmont in particular). His collection was stored both professionally, in Vintage Keepers, and in an 1850-bottle custom-built home cellar with full temperature and humidity-control.

2010 Domaine Jamet Cote Rotie from this lot has the following scores - Huon Hooke 96 points, Vinous 95 points. 2010 Delas Freres Bessards Hermitage from this lot has the following scores - The Wine Advocate 100 points, Jeb Dunnuck 100 points. This is the tasting note for 2010 Delas Freres Bessards Hermitage from Robert Parker - with a score of 100 points. Utterly profound in every way, the 2010 Hermitage les Bessards comes from the steepest, most rugged and "badass" part of Hermitage Hill, the broken granite soils of the les Bessards lieu-dit. Inky colored, thick and massively concentrated, it has sensational notes of liquid granite (the essence of granite!), smoked meats, scorched earth, currants and chocolate on the nose. Full-bodied, frighteningly concentrated, structured and backwards, it needs another decade of cellaring but will keep for half a century. 2010 Domaine Vincent Paris La Geynale Cornas from this lot has the following scores - The Wine Advocate 95 points, CellarTracker 93 points.
