The score for 2013 Marie Pierre Benetiere Cote Rotie Cordeloux is 92 points from Vinous and the tasting note - Brilliant ruby. Sexy, mineral-accented dark berry and floral pastille scents show excellent clarity and hints of olive and cola. Sweet and energetic on the palate, offering juicy black and blue fruit flavors and zesty cracked pepper and allspice nuances. Shows an impressive blend of power and finesse on a very long, youthfully tannic finish that leaves a lively blueberry note behind. The score for 2011 Marie Pierre Benetiere Cote Rotie Cordeloux is 90 points from Vinous and the tasting note - Opaque ruby. The nose displays fresh blackberry and bitter cherry scents, along with notes of candied flowers, star anise and cured meat. Nervy and precise on entry, then fleshier in the middle, offering juicy dark berry and cherry pit flavors and a touch of licorice. The nicely focused finish is framed by silky, even tannins.
