The score for 2012 M Chapoutier Chante Alouette Blanc Hermitage is 92 points from Anthony Gismondi and the tasting note - A fully biodynamic product here and only 13.5% alcohol. Light gold colour with honey, baked pear, floral, vanilla, spicy lees, earthy, apricot skin and nut aromas. Ripe, rich, round, juicy and elegant yet with fine texture. Apricot, nutty, floral, honey, butter, lees, ginger, guava, pear and citrus flavours with a buttery, baked quince finish. Very flavourful yet delicate and round, drinking well now but could be good again in 10 years time. A bit lighter than previous vintage but very fine effort.
