With deep roots in the Napa Valley, the consignor’s connection to wine is personal, shaped by a behind-the-scenes education in the barns and caves of California’s premier growing regions. Learning the craft directly from growers and winemakers instilled a focused appreciation for aging potential and limited-production quality. While living in California, she began intentionally building a cellar centered on highly sought-after labels, many of which required years on exclusive waiting lists to secure. The collection features a heavy emphasis on California cult wineries and Paso Robles icons, most of which were acquired directly through winery club allocations and have remained in her care since their initial release. Following a move to British Columbia, the collection was placed into professional, climate-controlled storage at a steady 13°C. These wines have had minimal movement and have been meticulously maintained in a commercial facility, ensuring that their provenance and condition remain as impeccable as when they first left the winery. This offering represents a rare opportunity to acquire allocated California labels that are seldom available on the Canadian secondary market.
2012 Tignanello Toscana IGT from this lot has the following scores - James Suckling 96 points, Vinous 95 points, Wine Enthusiast 95 points, Falstaff Magazine 94 points.
