All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.

 

It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any errors or omissions or damage caused by packers and shippers, notwithstanding the fact that the Auctioneer may have recommended such shippers or packers to the purchaser.

A whisky connoisseur first, the consignor became interested in wine after attending a Bordeaux tasting led by Barbara Philip MW. They tasted through the 2016 releases which included a Chateau Margaux and he found it amazing. He sourced his bottles via Alberta merchants and BC liquor stores and a few while travelling in Europe. He stores his wine in two large 350 bottle wine cellar units, both temperature and humidity controlled.
2013 Chateau Rayas Pignan Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve has the score of 94 from Vinous and the tasting note -Vivid red. Displays expansive, spice- and mineral-accented aromas of black raspberry and blueberry, along with suggestions of white pepper and lavender oil. Stains the palate with intense red and dark berry flavors, showing a suave blend of power and energy. Quiet rich for this bottling, finishing with excellent thrust, supple tannins and a hint of smokiness lingering. 2013 Chateau Rayas Reserve Chateauneuf du Pape has following scores - CellarTracker 93. 2013 Chateau Rayas Reserve Chateauneuf du Pape has the score of 92 from Jeff Leve and the tasting note -Light style of Rayas, medium bodied, with a bright, crispy, fresh, pure red cherry center, with silky tannins and a spicy, kirsch finish. This is a very, silky, seductive, forward style of Rayas that should hold you until the 2015 comes around
