This consignor developed an interest in wine approximately ten years ago, initially sparked by a growing passion for cooking. Over time, wine became a primary focus, culminating in the completion of WSET Levels 1 and 2 during the pandemic. This consignor began collecting more seriously around 2020, with a focus on acquiring wines from strong recent vintages, particularly from Bordeaux, Rhone, and Champagne, alongside select offerings from other notable old-world regions. All bottles were carefully sourced through reputable channels, including BC Liquor Stores, and the AGLC. A portion of the collection was also acquired through Iron Gate auctions. This consignor has maintained the collection in a temperature-controlled EuroCave wine fridge within a private residence, ensuring proper cellaring conditions and preserving the integrity of each bottle.

This is the tasting note for 2014 Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs Champagne from Robert Parker - A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier with a dosage of eight grams per liter, the 2014 Brut Belle Époque is turning out well today, evoking aromas of white peach, pear, spring flowers, almonds flowers and lemon oil. Medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, it’s fresh and charming with a delicately tense mid-palate and a saline, mineral finish. Long and penetrating, this is an excellent rendition of this cuvée.
