A couple that has purchased wine as collectors for over 20 years, curating their cellar  directly from wineries by allocation or from provincial wines store in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Having amassed more than they would like to maintain, they are now looking to trim their collection.
The tasting note for 2015 Horsepower Vineyards Sur Echalas Vineyard Grenache Walla Walla Valley AVA is from Robert Parker and the score is 98 - The 2015 Grenache Sur Echalas Vineyard is stunning, wafting from the glass with a captivating bouquet that features floral top notes of roses and peony, savory nuances of rich coniferous forest floor and bouillon, overlaying a sapid base of ripe cherry and strawberry. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, immensely intense and mouthwateringly savory, with incredible complexity and stony depth. The finish is long and saline. Though Baron's Cayuse Grenache is great this year, this wine is another step up. The tasting note for 2015 Horsepower Vineyards Sur Echalas Vineyard Walla Walla Valley Syrah is from Robert Parker and the score is 98 - The 2015 Syrah Sur Echalas Vineyard is just as striking as its Grenache sibling, unfurling with an equally complex nose of sweet cassis, beef blood, bitter cocoa, peony and violets, with notions of grilled meat and truffle emerging with time. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and amazingly intense, with a deep and multidimensional core framed by remarkably satiny, layered tannins, concluding with a long, saline finish.
