Producer notes - Before settling down in the vineyards, walls and soil of Clos des Fées, Hervé Bizeul had travelled quite a bit, revolving around wine, if not the world... As a sommelier, as a journalist, but above all as a son of this harsh and proud land of Roussillon. It was in front of this desert of scrubland, these dry stone walls, these vines planted with pickaxes in the middle of holm oaks with twisted branches, that he decided one day, towards the end of the 1990s, to follow through on his passion for wine by becoming a winemaker himself. Through hard work in the vineyards but also thanks to a tremendous energy to sell and make his wine known with a sense of relationships that winemakers do not always have, solitary in their vineyards and not very comfortable in commercial relations, Hervé Bizeul would quickly find success. A success sufficient to live decently and develop his domain by expanding it by purchasing plots planted or to be planted, by hiring staff, by purchasing increasingly sophisticated equipment and by continuing to crisscross the salons of France and the world to hold high the banner of his own wines, and those of his region. Hervé Bizeul has not completely abandoned the pen, far from it - he is today among the most prolific contributors in the blogosphere.
