Located in Calgary, this consignor is a professional in the wine industry and enjoys working with amazing producers around the world. He has been collecting for a while and stores all bottles, upon purchase, in a professional cellar.
Producer notes - Thomas was one of the first to plant a high destiny vineyard in Oregon, with over 3000 vines per acre on the shallow soils. All vines are trained on a single guyot with 4-5 shoots sprouting each year. He has never purchased fruit, everything he makes comes from here. Thomas has become a complete rarity in the founding guard of the Oregon wine industry. While many of the original winegrowers have gone on to increase their inventory, some have sold their business entirely, Thomas remains a one person operation. He has been able to maintain a 500-600 cases a year, never breaking from that model. Chasing the dollar is not his goal, his intent is to make better wine each year and that starts in the vineyard, where he likes to be.
