An Ontario based consignor who became interested in fine wine while working in F&B at a private golf course in 2007. He then worked for a wine importer/retailer and purchased wine through them as well as on his travels. Bottles were stored in a Vintage Keeper. He finds himself not drinking as much as he used to and is hoping his bottles end up with someone who enjoys fine wine as much as he does.
The tasting note for 2018 Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru is from Robert Parker and the score is 94 - A terrific effort in a vintage that often produced rather open-knit, soft white Burgundies, the 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru continues to perform very well. Mingling aromas of sweet citrus and stone fruits with notions of oatmeal, anise and flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, exhibiting excellent depth at the core and impressive precision. Racy, charming and attractively complete, it stands out from its peers.
