This consignor, located in BC, has long been amazed by the wine knowledge of Sommeliers and wine professionals, their palate and abilities to identify wines from just one sip, and began to collect in 2007. His bottles were mainly purchased directly from the Vineyard, through Boutique Wine Imports, or specialty wine shops locally in Vancouver. Prior to landing at Iron Gate,he stored the wine in a temperature-controlled cellar and at 13C in Vancouver.
The score for 2018 Gerard Raphet Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru is 94 points from Robert Parker and the tasting note - Raphet's 2018 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is showing very well, wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, plums and black cherries complemented by hints of smoked meats, warm spices and loamy soil. Full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with supple tannins, a deep core of fruit and succulent acids, this is a charming, nicely balanced Clos de Bèze that's quite demonstrative out the gates.
