The wine in this lot has a score of 94 from Robert Parker and the following tasting note -A blend of equal parts Aglianico and Piedirosso, the Marisa Cuomo 2018 Costa d'Amalfi Furore Rosso Riserva marks one of two important growing sites for this enterprising estate. They are Furore and Ravello. Furore is further west on the Sorrentine Peninsula, and there is an abandoned fishing village stuffed at the bottom of a tiny inlet in the folds of the cliffs that come crashing down to the coast. (I suggest you Google a picture of "Furore, Italy" if you haven't seen it in person). Vineyards for this wine are located high above the abandoned village in a direct vertical line 550 meters above sea level. With 9,100 bottles made, this oak-aged red wine is elegant and tightly coiled with black berry fruit, blue flower, wild rose, grilled rosemary and crushed limestone rock. The mouthfeel is not quite full-bodied, and there is enough latitude and freshness here to pair with a grilled salmon or tuna steak.
