A consignor who has been drinking wine more seriously for the past 25 years and gaining knowledge through tastings. He is a drinker first and a collector second. All wine was bought at the SAQ, either in stores, or lotteries, and was stored in his cellar immediately after the purchase. He chooses wine based on producers more than appellation and firmly believes that wine is meant to be shared. It is his hope that these bottles make their way to like minded individuals.
The score for 2019 Domaine Francois Raveneau Raveneau Petit Chablis is 88-91 points from Allen Meadows, The Burghound and the tasting note - A ripe and slightly phenolic nose (think olive oil nuances) features notes of both white and yellow orchard fruit along with citrus and ocean breeze nuances. The nicely textured and solidly concentrated middle weight flavors possess a succulent mid-palate while the saline and dry finish tighten up. This robust effort is an outstanding Petit Chablis and worth checking out. *Burghound Outstanding!*
