An established, private cellar from Toronto. Filled with Old World icons and New World classics, the wines were largely sourced from the LCBO, trusted importers, and direct from wineries. All the bottles were stored in a home cellar under temperature control.
The score for 2019 Egon Muller Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese is 98+ points from Mosel Fine Wines and the tasting note - The 2019er Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese proves hay-colored and offers a still rather backward but hugely impressive nose made of pear puree, grapefruit, elderflower, subtle honeyed elements, date, and almond cream. The wine is stunningly subtle and alluring, as a focused sense of almond cream is beautifully mingling with some ripe acidity and delicately exotic flavors. The wine retains nevertheless a huge sense of freshness and elegance right into the silky yet racy, and, above all, incredibly classy finish. While already hugely impressive as it stands, we would not be surprised if it eventually will flirt with perfection, especially as it develops its aromatic presence. Whoever is partial to finesse and precision will fall madly in love with this gorgeous beauty. 2034-2059.
