A Quebec-based consignor, he developed an interest in wine after dining at Bistro Champlain and enjoying bottles from its iconic cellar. He has been collecting for the past 15 years, during which he primarily purchased bottles through the SAQ, though he also added to his collection while traveling or at auction. His wine collection was carefully stored in his home cellar, maintained at a consistent 12°C with humidity levels between 45-49%.
The rating for 2019 Louis Jadot Chassagne Montrachet Premier Cru Grande Montagne is 90-92 points from Robert Parker and the tasting note - Notes of pear, peaches, toasted bread and honeycomb introduce the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Grande Montagne (Maison Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy wine that's round and open-knit, though it concludes with enlivening back-end grip. This, too, will show well young. The rating for 2019 Louis Jadot Chassagne Montrachet Premier Cru Le Cailleret is 91-93 points from Robert Parker and the tasting note - Aromas of pear, white flowers, pastry cream and vanilla pod preface the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Cailleret (Maison Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, bright and enveloping wine that's charming and precise. This will offer a broad drinking window.
