2020 DRC Corton Domaine Prince Florent de Merode has following scores - The Wine Advocate 95, Decanter 95 , BurgHound.com 94, CellarTracker 94, Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy 94. Producer note - 2008 was an eventful year. That year, it was announced that the Domaine de la Romanée Conti was taking over the three grands crus, owned by the Prince Florent de Mérode heirs, situated on the Corton hills. At the end of the leasing contract, the domain gained 1.2 hectares of Corton Bressandes, 0.57 hectares of Clos du Roi and 0.51 hectares of Renardes. These parcels are situated at the heart of historical appellation that includes a large number of old vines. Produced under the auspices of this prestigious domain from the 2009 harvest, and the wines have been commercialised since 2012. The Corton cuvée from Romanée-Conti continues to progress and has similar level to the other cuvées of the domain. The bouquet already evokes the floral complexity, also found in the wines from Vosne. The palate is delicate, fresh and pure. This wine can be aged for 5 to 20 years before being tasted.
