Believing wine to be a paramount form of art, this consignor began his collection fifteen years ago at the start of his professional career. His portfolio consists primarily of full cases acquired through the SAQ’s Prestige and Signature selections and LCBO Vintages. The collection has been meticulously preserved in a residential cellar, professionally excavated and carved directly into natural rock. This environment is digitally controlled, with temperature and humidity levels monitored daily to ensure optimal maturation and pristine condition.
2021 Domaine Arnoux Lachaux Vosne Romanee Les Hautes Maizieres from this lot has the following scores - CellarTracker 93 points. This is the tasting note for 2021 Domaine Arnoux Lachaux Vosne Romanee Les Hautes Maizieres from nan - Producer notes- Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, under the visionary leadership of Charles Lachaux, has rapidly ascended to the very top echelon of Burgundy producers. Building on a rich family heritage in Vosne-Romanée dating back to 1858, Charles has embarked on a "quiet revolution" in the vineyards and cellar. His philosophy is radical yet deeply rooted in respect for nature - to step back and allow the vineyard and vintage to speak with unparalleled clarity and precision. This involves meticulous regenerative farming, incredibly low yields, and a pioneering approach to élevage, including a shift to ceramic vessels for aging to preserve purity. The wines of Arnoux-Lachaux are now among the most sought-after globally, celebrated for their vibrant life and profound sense of place."Les Hautes Maizières" is a village-level vineyard in Vosne-Romanée that consistently over-delivers, often performing at the quality of a Premier Cru. Situated just below the southern wall of the Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot and adjacent to the prestigious Premier Cru Suchots, this small parcel benefits from iron-rich clay-limestone soils. The vines, many planted in the 1950s, contribute to the wine's depth and structure.
