Since its inception 33 years ago, the Toronto Symphony Volunteer Committee (TSVC) has held an annual Fine Wine Auction in support of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO), its education and community engagement programs, and the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra (TSYO) tuition-free program. Our auction was the first charity auction to be held in Ontario and has garnered a devoted following and a strong reputation. The auction has raised more than $8.2 million in 33 years for the TSO. Each year the auction features wine lots generously donated by many private long-time collectors. Wines are accepted for auction based on several set requirements including conditions and storage. We are grateful to our donors for their contributions of fine wines from their cellars. We are also extremely thankful and honoured to announce that the lots being auctioned in support of the TSO will include wines from the cellars of two wine connoisseurs and long term supporters of our auction - Hugh McLelland and the Estate of William Robert Wilson. We look forward to presenting these fine wines on the Iron Gate Auctions online auction platform from November 26 to December 3, 2024. We thank Iron Gate Auctions for their excellent management and storage of our wine inventory and for providing the online auction platform in support of charitable organizations. We thank our appraiser, Robert Jull of Vinifera Wine Services, for his exceptional expertise and professionalism, and Stephen Ranger, Canada’s most respected and experienced auctioneer of fine and rare wine, for his ongoing support. Donations of fine wine are accepted year-round. Please consider donating wine from your collection. Donations are appraised and tax receipts issued based on the appraised value. For more information and to make a donation in support of the TSO, please visit our website at https://TSVC.CA/Fine-Wine-Auction. Please be aware that each charity is exclusively responsible for verifying the origin and provenance of the bottles in this auction, and Iron Gate will not be held liable.
