All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any errors or omissions or damage caused by packers and shippers, notwithstanding the fact that the Auctioneer may have recommended such shippers or packers to the purchaser.
The collector is from Cambridge ON where a multi-generational spirits collection grew from parents and grandparents who instilled the love of tasting and sharing whisky to the seller. A particular love for rare blends and single malts from Speyside. The spirits have been sourced throughout North America. The collection has been stored at home, away from light, keeping all bottles kept upright.
Chivas Icon...The pinnacle of the Chivas range! This iconic blend is made up of more than 20 of Scotland's rarest whiskies, some of which from ghost distilleries now lost forever. A skillfully balanced blend that moves from irreplaceable casks to a handcrafted crystal decanter. The Icon edition has been created by Chivas Master Blender Colin Scott . This premium blend has been bottled into a handblown Dartington Crystal decanter housed in a green leather box.
Tasting Notes from the Producer=Nose- Deep, rich, fruity and sweet, with notes of runny honey, ripe pears, dark chocolate and orange fondant cream. Palate- Full and fruity with flavours of sweet orange, peaches in syrup and vanilla in abundance. Sweet flavours are balanced to perfection with traces of hazelnut. Finish- Incredibly long, luscious and sweet.
