The collector is from Cambridge ON where a multi-generational spirits collection grew from parents and grandparents who instilled the love of tasting and sharing whisky to the seller. A particular love for rare blends and single malts from Speyside. The spirits have been sourced throughout North America. The collection has been stored at home, away from light, keeping all bottles kept upright.

The Glenlivet was the first to use French oak in their whisky making process, a technique that has since been imitated by others. The Limousin oak used is cut in France’s Dordogne region, where it’s often used to mature cognacs. Its low density allows whisky to sink deep into the wood. The length of time in contact with the wood is carefully controlled during maturation so as not to overpower the desired result: a unique, pleasing spiciness.
