A consignor who began collecting over 15 years ago. Most of the bottles were purchased locally in Calgary, primarily from Kensington Wine Market, Calgary Co-Op Wine Spirits Beer, and Willow Park Wines & Spirits. A few special bottles came from The Whisky Shop in San Francisco, and others were brought back from Scotland during a whisky tour hosted by Kensington Wine Market. At one point, the collection grew to nearly 500 bottles. The whisky was stored in the basement, in a bar built specifically for it, kept in the dark except when the lights are on, and in a space where the temperature holds steady at around 18 degrees Celsius.
