An Alberta-based collector who's interest became piqued in fine wine and spirits through the enjoyment of drinking quality products, understanding the investment potential of owning rare bottles, and sharing these with her children. She began collecting in 2016 and sourced 99% of her cellar directly through the AGLC, though there are some from world travelling. All spirits were stored upright in original cases under temperature-controlled conditions. The packaging and bottles came to Iron Gate in pristine and untouched condition.

The Bruichladdich Black Art 04.1 is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky from the distillery's Black Art series. It was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2013, marking it as a 23-year-old expression. The whisky's composition, curated by former Master Distiller Jim McEwan, is a closely held secret, contributing to the intrigue surrounding this particular edition. Essential to this whisky's character is the chosen combination of American and French oak casks for maturation. This detail underscores McEwan's careful examination of the interplay between spirit and wood, a fundamental aspect of whisky production. The bottling strength of the Black Art 04.1 is 49.2% Vol. This particular edition holds significance as the last release selected by McEwan before his retirement. With a limited production run of 6000 bottles, it carries an element of rarity. This factor, combined with its mysterious composition and specific history, enhances its interest among whisky enthusiasts and investors. As a part of the Black Art series, the Bruichladdich Black Art 04.1 illustrates the distillery's commitment to crafting unique, quality whiskies. The series stands as a pivotal chapter in Bruichladdich's history, with the Black Art 04.1 acting as a symbol of McEwan's enduring influence.
