Available payment options
All lots are located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Confirmation of pickup or delivery of Iron Gate Commercial Auction winnings must be made within 60 days of auction close. Thereafter, your winnings will be subject to storage fees, including a $75 setup, subsequent $5.00/case/month and $1.25 per bottle fee for inventory services. If no contact has been made within two years, auction winnings will be considered abandoned.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all arrangements for insuring, packing and removing the property purchased and any assistance by the Auctioneer, or the employees of, agents or contractors in packing and removal shall be rendered as a courtesy and without any liability to them. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any errors or omissions or damage caused by packers and shippers, notwithstanding the fact that the Auctioneer may have recommended such shippers or packers to the purchaser.
Mostly a wine collector this consignor was introduced to spirits by friends who are avid connoisseurs. His bottles were purchased through LCBO, SAQ and in Nashville. They were stored upright in a dark room before making their way to auction
1 of 1200 bottles. First Release. Mister Sam Tribute Whiskey is a highly limited blend of Sazerac's finest Canadian and American whiskeys. It is named in honour of Samuel Bronfman, Seagram's first master blender, who revolutionized the art of blending as he built his Seagram Company into a massive spirits empire. The whiskey was bottled at Sazerac's Old Montreal Distillery in Montreal, Quebec. This bottle is the 2019 first release with only 1200 bottles ever produced. This barrel strength blend is bottled at 133.8 proof (66.9% abv).
The whiskey has a complex profile with notes of dark cherries, baked apples, wood varnish, crème brûlée, butterscotch, maple syrup, cinnamon, chocolate, and unlit cigar tobacco. The palate is spicy with rye spice traits, cherries, orange rinds, cinnamon, clove, chili powder, spearmint, shaved ginger root, and a delicate and floral rosewater note.
